| Philosophy & Goal
Saint Mary School emphasizes Catholic values and scholarship. Academics, ethics, and morals are the basis upon which the curriculum is built. This curriculum strives to meet the needs of each child and lead him or her to develop the intellectual, social and spiritual dimensions of one’s personality.
Saint Mary School is under the direction of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, the
Salesian Sisters of
St. John
Bosco.
As a Salesian school, the educational system of St. John
Bosco, the Preventive System is utilized. This pastoral approach to learning, and commitment to the motto reason, religion and kindness, along with the Christian example given by the members of the educating community, provide the tools each child needs to develop a responsible relationship with God, the Church, humanity, nature, and self.
As a Catholic school, the educators at Saint Mary School strive to live the Code of Ethics for the Catholic School Teacher.
As a Salesian educating community,
we at Saint Mary School,
strive to provide
a solid academic and Christian formation
for the young,
building an atmosphere of acceptance and openness,
guiding them to discover and follow their vocation in life. |
